<p>On the occasion of the third centenary of the publication of the first volume of the <em>Military Reflections</em> of the 3rd Marquis of Santa Cruz de Marcenado, seven research studies are brought together which deal with his work as a diplomat in positions of great importance at various European courts, the treatise and military dimension as a professional sphere in which his service to the State was carried out and the projection and legacy of his work.</p>
