<span style="font-family: ";Times New Roman";; mso-ansi-language: FR;" lang="FR">

<span style="font-family: ";Times New Roman";; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;" lang="EN-GB">ABSTRACT

<span style="font-family: ";Times New Roman";; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;" lang="EN-GB">Types of droughts in Spain.<span style="font-family: ";Times New Roman";; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;" lang="EN-GB">- In geographical analysis, drought is the most complex natural risk factor. This is due to its numerous causes as well as to the impact it has both on the land and on the economy. Since the mid-1800’s, many official studies have been carried out on drought in Spain. However, despite this research, no fixed geographical indicators have been established for this natural phenomenon. The widely varied climates throughout Spain make it impossible to identify characteristics and repercussions which are common to all droughts occurring within this territory. This paper focuses on the analysis of dry periods recorded throughout the 20th century and categorises the different drought which have affected the various Spanish regions.

<span style="font-family: ";Times New Roman";; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;" lang="EN-GB">

<span style="font-family: ";Times New Roman";;" lang="ES-TRAD">Palabras clave / Mots clé / Key words

<span style="font-family: ";Times New Roman";; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;" lang="EN-GB">Droughts, categorisation of dry periods, perception of the droughts, beginning and end of the droughts.
}, number={56}, journal={ Ería}, author={Olcina Cantos, Jorge}, year={2001}, month={feb.}, pages={201–227} }
