The various kinds of community work were (and still remain) occasions for collaboration between neighbors, at a time when the environment provided everything to live, so the least essential thing was to have a good relationship with the neighbors. In this sense, words and toponyms were true lessons that those grandparents gave to the children and grandchildren of that time. Since nobody was giving away anything, it was necessary to join hands, wisdoms and hoes to fix the roads, to collaborate in the mountain pastures or to look after to the most needy. In short: it is the words of the landscape that, once again, bear<br />witness to the customs of the past that are essential for the future, even in these technified times of the beginning of the millennium. They are the long history of the Asturian landscape written in the words.</p>}, number={16}, journal={Revista de Filoloxía Asturiana}, author={Concepción Suárez, Xulio}, year={2017}, month={ene.}, pages={63–86} }
