Abstract
Scale analysis: Mokken probabilistic method of dichotomous iteras responses.- This paper describe a nonparametric item response model -the Mokken scale-, a stochastic elaboration of the deterministic Guttman scale. The methods for estimating the reliability and the scalability within this model are presented. In order to illustrate the computation procedures and the utility of Mokken model for accumulative attitude scaling, the method is applied lo the constructor of the subescale of Children Reactions to Adoption. Finally, recommendation are given concerning the use of these methods.
