Abstract

Are anxiety and fear of death negative attitudes?
This literature review attempts to answer this question by deepening the relationship between these attitudes and well-being, both directly on dimensions of subjective or psychological well-being, and indirectly through its association with psychopathological processes.
It is observed, invariably, that higher scores on anxiety or fear towards death lead to decreased well-being.
However, literature does not clarify whether there is a turning point from which this association occurs.
