Abstract
Quantified electroencephalography in Parkinson's Disease - Quantified electroencephalography (EEGq by means the Fast Fourier Transformed system (FFT) was carried out on a group of patients with Parkinson's Disease (PD) without symptoms of intellectual impairment and a control group consisting of healthy subjects. The study of the specific EEGq indices has led lo the establishment of parameters which establish differences between the two groups. Specifically, a difference has been found with regard to the total potentials of all frequency bands; changes in the lobular antero-posterior distribution and of the spatialization index of alpha rhythm; altered alpha/theta index; and, also, inversion of the relative potentials corresponding to fast and slow rhythms between PD group and controls.
