Abstract
Social frames of memory. An ecological perspective. The traditional approaches to the study of memory were focused to find the general principles on how memory operates. In recent years has been increasing interest in the research of memory in its natural contexts -the ecological memory. A statement of the ecological directions for memory research is presented here, emphasizing the orientations historical and collective (Halbwachs, Blondel, Bartlett). Two dimensions are direction of ecological orientation. One dimension is that the actor of remembering (individual vs. collective) and other that the ecological (natural context vs artificial context).
