Abstract
The Sternberg's theory of love. An empirical analysis. In this study the capability of Sternberg's Theory of Love was evaluated in order to describe, predict and diagnose the love relationship. The love structures of a couple are analysed, comparing their love triangle within the three components showed by Sternberg (intimad, passion, commitment) treated in four levels (real, percived, ideal of self, ideal of the other). Also, the relation between the triangles and the success of love. The results of the analysis are described and its application to love relationships is discussed.
