Abstract

Short considerations on Feijoo's contributions to the Spanish Psychology. Spanish Psychology did not begin to develop completely untill the seventies of the current century because of political, ideological and economical reasons. However, we can find in Spain in the XVI Century, some of the most important authors in Psychology at that time that the were going to have a great influence for current Psychology. We are talking about Juan Huarte de San Juan and his Examen de Ingenios and mainly the Valencian Juan Luis Vives and his De Anima. Taking the occasion that our Faculty of Psychology at Oviedo is moving to the old Monastery where Benito J. Feijoo lived and vorked, in the present paper, the roll of this this Benedictine monk as a bridge between the Renaissancist authors mentioned above, and the current Spanish Psychology is analyzed, withe abrief analysis of some of his main contributions to the Psychology and the Social Psychology.
