Abstract
Type A behaviour pattern component analysis and specific situation anxious responses: implications for the intervention. One of the recent lines of investigation about Type A behavior pattern construct (TABP) has been focused on specifying the degree of association in certain more pathogenic components, such as impatience and hostility, with other psychological constructs related to stress. However, it has not been yet delimited with a greater accuracy their interaction with a variety of situations when predicting the generation of possibly non-adaptative responses by the subjects. In this study, relationships on the several TABP components with distinct stimulus situations were analyzed in order to assess different anxiety response perfiles (cognitive, physiological, motor). The results showed significative differences in type and amount of responses according to the components and stimulus situations analyzed: thus, results should be taken into account for the therapeutic intervention as a responsive specificity indicator.Downloads
