Abstract
The effect of divorce on children's anxiety. In this work, measures on anxiety of two children groups, one (96) from divorced families and other (97) from intact families have been compared. Anxiety was measured by means of the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory for Children's Spanish traslation (STAIC) and the children's perceptions of divorce were measured by the Chidren's Beliefs about Parental Divorce Scale's Spanish traslation(CBPDS). Results indicate that, although no significant difference has been found in total anxiety measures between the two groups, but anxiety children scores are to be related with some special situations: interparental conflit, parental relationship after divorce, and frecuency of visits by non custodial parents.Downloads
