Abstract
Self-concept in children with and without learning disabilities. Cognitive-motivational variables in school learning are very important, so we have focused on one of those: the self-concept. This is defined as a group of perceptions that the subject develops about himself. Perception which act as a frame of reference to control and guide the behaviour. Thus it is that many researches have denoted that a lot of children with LD show in this construct lower levels than their school-mates do. That is the reason why we have selected a sample of 502 subjects, 259 with LD and 243 LD. Our purpose is to find out: 1) How perceptions which form this construct are organized; 2) If this variable shows differences between both groups of children; and 3) How this construct is related with academic achievement.Downloads
