EVALUACIÓN DIFERENCIAL DE LA IMAGEN SOCIAL DE LOS CONSUMIDORES DE DROGAS

Abstract

Differential evaluation of the social image of drug abusers. The goal of this research is to make a comparative analysis of the image of different types of abusers of institucionalized and non-institutionalized drugs. It was chosen a sample of 222 subjects of both sexes and older than 15. There were applied an Imago-93 questionnaire. This tool was elaborated from 4 dimensions rationality stablished: Refuse, Hedonism, Pathology (attribution) and Psychological Problems (attribution). It was applied a method to differentiate possibilities of consumptions related to ten different types of drug abusers: tobacco, alcohol, cannabis, stimulants and heroine, considered in a sporadic use and in a daily use. The results show the existence of significative differences in the perception that people of our society have towards different types of drug abusers.
