Abstract

Automatic and Attentional priming: Null effects of transfer. Some theories (Feustel, Shiffrin y Salasoo, 1983) supports the view that semantic knowledge is of episodic origin. There are controversial data in support of this position, although in naming it seems pretty well established that episodic priming can be obtained in a semantic memory task. After review of some of these data we present two experiments that try to ascertain the kind of transfer that can be obtained after repeated presentations of episodically related stimuli.
