Abstract
Effects of training on mood and anxiety in sedentary women. The aim of this study was to analize the effects of physical activity on fitness and psychological well-being as well as different effects between aerobic and anaerobic exercise. Fourteen sedentary women who participated in a training program were compared with a control group (n=12) in mood and anxiety before and after the treatment. The results show that training program performed produces increases in fitness, slight decreases in Cognitive-anxiety but almost no changes on the mood scales studied. Finally, anaerobic exercise enhances Fatigue and Somatic-anxiety and decreases Vigor.
