Abstract
Differential aspects on health between housewives and women that work out. The study analyses the health habits and perceived health in a sample of 540 married (or living with couple) women, living in Baleares. Comparisons are established in relation to their working status, comparing housewives (52,2%) and those who work out (47,8%). Results suggest that, although housewives have healthier habits (smoke and drink alcohol), they show lower health levels, both acute symptoms and chronic illnesses and perceived health status.
