Abstract

Psychology and anarchism in the Spanish civil war: the work of Félix Martí-Ibáñez. After the Spanish Civil War broke out Dr. Félix Martí-Ibáñez, psychotherapist and sexologist, was named Director of Public Health and Social Services of Catalonia, Spain, representing the anarchist trade union C.N.T. In this paper his war time activities are studied, focusing on both his reform of the mental health services and his psychoanalytic interpretation of the spanish civil war.
