Abstract
The meaning of work in persons with type-a behavior pattern. The present study has as objective principal to prove if is given a variation in the meaning of the work depending on the behavior pattern that express the subjects. For this, they have been evaluated the type A behavior pattern (PCTA) and the four of the basic variables that configure the meaning of the work: work centrality, social procedures, values and goals of the work, in a youths sample with ages between 16 and 29 years. The obtained results confirm large part of the outlined hypothesis. Thus, as opposed to the subject type B, the individuals with behavior style type A are identified more with the work as obligation, value the position - prestige and income that provides and give less importance to the interpersonal relationships and the in itself same work. Furthermore, these subjects have as principal goals to ascend, to earn a good salary and to have an assorted work.
