Abstract
Capacity for control of drugs abusers. The aim of this investigation was to study the capacity of control of drug abusers. We employed the Rorschach Test to examine a case group of drug dependent patients, both sexes, and over 18 yerar of age. Our sample was obtained from both the De-intoxication Unit and Outpatients Department of the Centrl Hospital of Asturias (Oviedo, Spain), and a private clinic in Oviedo. A control group made up of voluntary subjects with similar sociodemographic characteristics was obtained from the general population. We analysed affective traits, capacidty of control, and tolerance to stress. For the statistical processing of data, the following tests were employed: Kolmogorov, "t" test, Mann-Whitney, and the Chi-Square. Our data suggest that the subjects addicted to drugs show response styles and differential states different from the control group: (C' SumShd, es, D<0), This variables are quite important because explain the ability to maintain control under demand or stress situations and the affective constraint. (Exner 1995).
