Abstract
Depression and mood-congruent autobiographical memory. This study was designed to examine the mood congruency hypothesis on the recall of autobiographical memories in clinically depressed subjects. Several methodological modifications were introduced respect to previous studies. The results showed that the depressed patients presented increased recall of negative memories compared with control nondepressed individuals. These findings are discussed in relation to Bower's (1981) semantic network model.Downloads
