Abstract

Reliability analysis of the Inventory of Motivations for AIDS Volunteerism. This study analyze the reliability of the Inventory of Motivations for AIDS Volunteerism and its factorial structure with a Spanish sample of 130 volunteers. Results show the high internal consistency of the Inventory of Motivations (0.9). The factorial results have revealed that this questionnaire shows a structure of five factores that explainthe 64.4% of the variance. This is consistent with the Functional Approach of the Motivation of Omoto and Snyder. However, some differences have appeared between both factorial structures, due to the different composition of the sample.
