Abstract
A psychometric study of the Anxiety and Performance Questionnaire (CAR) in primary school students. In this study, the psychometric properties of a Test Anxiety questionnaire, which was designed mainly as a predictor of academic performance, are assessed. In more detail, we study: its structure, its invarianze across gender, and its criterion related validity. Even though the work is mainly substantive, it also serves to illustrate some new procedures which can be effectively used in this type of studies. Results are discussed mainly in terms of practical applications and usefulness of the questionnaire.
