Abstract

Differences in learning styles. This article highlights some results that have been obtained from some research into learning styles in Cantabria. The Learning Style Profile of Keefe and Monk (1.990) has been used. According to this profile, 24 variables of learning style are differentiated, grouped in terms of skills of information process, initial response to verbal information, and study guidance and preference. In the first place, the differences in learning styles among more than 800 Secondary School pupils in Cantabria are analysed, together with the North American sample which served as a basis for criteria in the profile. Secondly a comparative study among the pupils in Cantabria has been carried out, differentiating between the 24 variables of Profile in relation to the pupils' grade or study year and sex.
