Abstract
Sensation Seeking. The present paper studies the differences in the trait level of Sensation Seeking, in function of the sex and age. The Sensation Seeking Scale, Form V (Zuckerman, Eysenck y Eysenck, Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 46, 139-149, 1978) was administered to 532 participants, 263 men and 269 females. The results show significant differences between sexes in three subscales (TAS, DIS and BS) and in the total scale. No differences were observed for the Experience Seeking (ES) scores. The total scores tendet to decline with age eve though a slight increase seem to exist for the 20-29 age group, particularly in the females. There is a strong decrease in the scores for the 3040 age group, possibly associated with biological processes.
