Abstract
Voting behavior in young people. From all the different types of Political Behavior, voting behavior is the most studied. The kind of variables that have been used to predict it is wide, being necesary to point up the role played by the sociodemographics ones, specialy the age. Often it has been pointed out the existence of a relation between both variables with form of U inverted. According to it, young people would have a lower tendency to vote than the olders. However some researchs have rejected this posibility. The aim of this study is to put in clear this point, as well as other topics included in this subject (influence of education and psychosocial variables on voting behavior, and the relationship between age and ideology). The sample is constituted by people 18 to 29 years old (N = 193).
