Abstract
Methodological approach to estimate the influence of protected natural areas on sustainable deve lopment of their landscapes. National Parks and other figures linked to environmental mana ging have changed their objecti ves. Nowadays the social and economic development of the areas nearby Parks is one of the first aims that politicians, staff, social actors, researchers and all the society do must have in mind. The emergence of new paradigms suggests us the following questions: Which is the influence of Parks on the welfare of people living near them? and How should natural areas be organized so as to make possible both high standard of environment and economic results? The paper shows us the convenience of specific methodological proposals supported on GIS in order to evaluate the progress on the economic side and its influence on the environmental traditional objectives.
