Abstract

The human visual processing, effects of previous information on the detection of little contrasted sti mulus. This is an experimental study about the human vision, with the principal goal of proving the influence, in a task of visual detection, of different types of previous information. The detection was depending in large part on the discriminatory capacity of the sensorial organs because was used a simple geometric and little contrasted stimulus that was appearing progressively. The initial hypothesis is that, yet in these conditions, the guide paper of the information would have effects on the rapidity of that detection, through the focusing of the attention on specific aspects of the representation generated in the EVP (Early Visual Processing) or by sensorial channels activation. According to the type of information and its nearness to the output representation of the EVP, the facilitation will be different. The results demonstrate a meaningful effect of the visual information over the not information and the verbal information. The verbal information had an interference effect.
