Abstract
Methodological issues in the study of parents participation in school activities We study some of the methodological difficulties that emerge at the moment of investigating the implication of parents in the formal education of their children. Our own theoretical model, as well as several instruments designed to measure that construct have been developed inspired in Martínez González (1995). Several questionnaires addressed to parents, children and teachers were used. The sample was formed by 789 pupils (415 female and 374 male), from public and private schools. Factor analysis and other correlational analyses were car ried out. Main results are discussed and analysed.
