Abstract
School performance and emotional and behavioral disorders. This essay intends to evaluate the emotional behavioral disorders shown by students attending a Secondary School by using the Youth Self Report (YSR). Women show a different internal pathology and men a more external one. Besides it focuses on how this kind of pathology has an influence on performance at school, measured by the school marks given by teachers at the end of the school year. It was found that the external pathology is directly related to the number of students who fail, which could explain why male students fail more subjects than female ones and, among, girls, why the aggressive ones fail more than those who aren't so.
