Abstract

Two methodological perspectives for the inclusion of the gender perspective in the analysis of poverty. A substantial advance in the inclusion of the gender perspective in the analysis of poverty has taken place since the first studies on the called "feminization of the poverty" to our days. The first vision, that implies a methodological perspective and a form to understand and to raise investigations, is the one enunciated previously. Basically, it applies different indicators from the situation of the woman, indicators that on the other hand are the applied in generic and classic studies: feminine rent, feminine unemployment... The other methodological perspective, different in essence, is the one that postulates and requires of the inclusion of gender perspective of sort in the analysis and processing of poverty. In other words: the poverty without dimensions like gender cannot be understood. We propose a synthesis of these two perspectives, analyzing their limitations and potentialities, offering an open and plural discussion for the definitive inclusion of gender perspective in the methodological and technical designs to study of poverty.
