Abstract
Statistics as a measurement instrument in an intervention programme associated with the Environment. The present study is stated as an attempt to improve the teaching of Mathematics introducing elements closer to daily lif e, which can seem attracti ve to the students of the compulsory levels of teaching (up to 16 years old). In an indirect way its aim is helping to form and improve the environmental behaviour of those students. Statistics is presented as a tool for analysing dates within the scope of research in Education Mathematics, evaluating its possibilities of application to the type of variables considered in this study.
