Abstract
Relation between exposure to interparental violence and cognitive correlates. This research tests the relation between level of exposure to marital violence among the subjects, their beliefs about women and their response to several couple's conflicts (estimates of responsability, frecuency, and severity). We developed three instruments that were answered by one hundred and seventy six students of technical schools (98 females and 78 males). Results showed, as we expected, significative differences in the subject's estimates as a function of their level of exposure to violence and their beliefs. The meaning of these results with relation to the process of intergenerational transmission of violence is discussed.
