Abstract

Youth Self-Report fiability and validity in an adolescent sample. This work analyses the validity and reliability of the Youth Self Report (YSR), using the Spanish translation by Lemos. The sample was composed of 342 students from Barcelona, that were in their first year of high school. The YSR internal consistency was higher for the Internalizing and Externalizing groupings than for the narrow-band syndromes. The concurrent validity analysis showed relations between the Internalizing YSR grouping and several depression and the Psychological inadequacy CAQ scales. On the contrary, the Externalizing grouping did not show a consistent relational pattern to CAQ scales. It can be added, that for boys and girls the explanation of Internalizing problems was linked to different psychological contents.
