Abstract
Gender differences in learning processes in university students. The differences observed in the styles and apprenticeship strategies are shown in relation to the gender and the type of University studies. A total of 1.174 pupils from different specialities of Oviedo's University answered the question papers called CHAEA and ACRA. After that, a statistical analysis based on MANOVA and discriminative analysis is made. They interaction between gender and the type of study is observed under conditions of very small similarity between the different academic disciplines. The discriminative analysis gives us the fact that women use acquisition and recuperation strategies of the information (underlined techniques, association of contents, reviews, presentations of their documents, use of the social interaction and strategies of search in the memory). In contrast to women, man use the previous explorations, intra-content relationship, practical applications, metacognitive strategies (self questions and self evaluations), and a theoretical style (abstract conceptualisation), but everything is related to the type of University studies which have been analysed.
