Abstract
Evolution of HIV risk perception in heterosexual relationships in a sample of Spanish University Students. The aim of this work is to analyze the evolution of risk perception of heterosexual transmission of the UIV in a sample of Spanish university students. We use two questionnaires of Bayés, Pastells and Tuldrá (1995, 1996). The sample is composed by 1075 university students of first course: 587 (380 girls and 207 boys) are evaluated during the course 1996-97 and 570 (360 girls and 181 boys) during the course 2000-01. The samples are comparable in relation to level of studies, sex, and age. We establish the following conclusions: a) the equal level of sexual activity between sexes and more use of condom in the latest sample of 2000/01; b) the less risk perceived is associated to an affective sexual partner (versus casual/affair) and there aren't significant differences between the two samples; and, c) the more they are aware of HIV sexual transmission when taking the role of the character in the story risk perception is higher.
