Abstract
Quality of life assessment in Diabetes Mellitus II patients: Psychometric properties of Spa nish version of DQOL. The aim of the study was to translate and calculate valid ity and reliab ility of Spanish v ersion of an specific measure of Quality of Life for Diabetes "DQOL", in 152 Diabetes Mellitus Type II patients. Subjects complete DQOL and Anxiety and Depression Beck In ventories. Then , Cronbach alpha test, factor analysis an d Pearson correlations were performed. Adequate alphas were obtained for total score and all DQOL sub scales (range between .68 and .86); factor structure was similar to the origin al one; and positive and moderate correlations between measures of anxiety and depression and pore Quality of Life were obtained. The data o f the p resent study suggest that Sp anish version of DQOL is a valid and reliab ility instrument to assess Quality of Life in persons with Diabetes Mellitus II.
