Abstract
Effects of the intrusive-reinforcer and sample-reinforcer relationship in matching to sample. The effects of presenting intrusive stimuli during the sample-comparative interval in delayed matching-tosample task were evaluated. In the consistent group (C) the intrusive stimulus and the sample stimulus were associated with the same reinforcer; in the inconsistent group (IC) the intrusive stimulus was associated with a different reinforcer to the associated with the sample stimulus; in the non-correlated group (NC) so much stimuli associated with the same reforzador like stimuli associated with different reinforcer to the associated with the stimulus were presented it shows; in the control group (CO) intrusive stimuli were not presented. In all groups the sample-comparative interval was lengthened from 0 s up to 16 s. It was found that the discrimination index was above 0.8 in C and IC groups, while in the NC and CO groups the discrimination index diminished conforms the delay was lengthened. The results are discussed in terms of the sample-intrusive-reinforcer correlations.
