Abstract

Social influence on the stereotypes change. The present experimental research is placed under the frame of social influence. Its main goal is to compare the differential effects produced by an active minority with the effects produced by a majority. From the Disociative Model approach the results points out that minorities produce a higher indirect influence than majorities, as well as a greater modification of some periferic elements of the direct dimension. The level of conflict affects in a different way the innovation than the conformity. A minority influences in a more indirect level when it induces to an intermedium conflict of intensity, while a majority influences in a more direct and indirect level when the conflict degree is incresed.
