Abstract
Presentation of the retiro type a behavior scle (Retabs). This paper presents a new measure of Type A behaviour developed with spanish population. The scale consists of eight items and has been applied to a sample of 647 subjects (321 females and 326 males). We analyze the reliability and validity of that scale by means of: alpha coefficients, factor analysis, etc., to demonstrate its internal consistency, construct validity and criterion-related validity. Factor analysis (principal components, varimax rotation) shows a two factors structure. Factor 1 could be related with stress, while factor 2 could be related with work ambition. Item 8 (emotional expresion) shows some isolation from this two factors structure
