Abstract

"Memoria" is an educational  project  included  in  the  museum  design  and pedagogy program. The project is developed with some schools of arts and design, all of them public centers of the Community of Madrid (Escuela de Arte 12 and Escuela Superior de Diseño).  This collaborative project  aims  to  strenghten  the museum process of transformation focusing on regaining its original pedagogical goal.  With this objective.  “Memoria” integrates contemporary design into the museum   historical   furniture   collection   in   order   to   open   new   channels   of communication, integrating  the  expectations  of  civil  society  in  the museum renewal.

Therefore, this  project  is  the  result  of  a  shared  concern  about  design  as  a creative activity and about the possibilities that a museum can offer as a source of inspiration for shaping future objects.
