Open access policy

The journal provides its content with full texts freely available on publication under the principal that allowing open access to results of research will result in greater exchange of knowledge at a global level.

History

The journal began in 1979 as an annual publication, applying article 54 of the statutes for the Asturian Academy of Jurisprudence approved by Royal Decree 1827/1977, 10th June. The current statues, passed by Autonomic Decree 24/2012, 15th March, specify in the same article that “the Asturian Academy of Jurisprudence shall be responsible for publishing, on paper or in digital format, the Asturian Law Review, with the Governing Board, in communication with full academic members, nominating its director, and, at the directors’ motion, the Editorial Board, and the Scientific Advisory Committee; the publication schedule, the final say on its editorial position, and where applicable, the amount of compensation for collaborations”. It has been published without interruption for 42 years.
