Furniture and Furniture Stores in Cienfuegos (CUBA), the Transition between Two Centuries.

Abstract

Studies   about   furniture   in   Cuba   have   been   done   mostly   about   the country ́s museum’s collections, with a very generalizing vision of the process, without regional perspective of the topic. Besides, the researches done until now don’t go farther of what’s known as colonial furniture. Propitiate other visions of the  subject  is  the  proposition  of  this  work,  by  the  study  in  one  of the  most interesting cities in Cuba, due to the great wood wealth  in the XIX century and the first decades of the XX century, it is very interesting  to knowing deeply  the development of Industrial Arts in Cuba and particularly in Cienfuegos.
