La violencia en la pareja (IPV) es un problema socio-sanitario de gran relevancia en el contexto ecuatoriano. Sin embargo, no existen escalas cuya fiabilidad y validez para la medición de la prevalencia de la IPV haya sido demostrada en este contexto. El objetivo de este trabajo fue analizar las propiedades psicométricas del Dating Violence Questionnaire – R (DVQ – R; Rodríguez-Diaz et al., 2017) en población ecuatoriana. La muestra estuvo compuesta por 524 mujeres de entre 18 y 30 años que tenían o habían tenido una pareja del sexo opuesto. El ajuste del modelo a los datos se evalúo mediante análisis factorial confirmatorio y la fiabilidad de las escalas se estimó mediante el índice omega ordinal. El modelo de medida originalmente propuesto por Rodríguez-Díaz et al. (2017) tuvo un buen ajuste a los datos (χ2 = 280.705, gl = 160, p ≤ .001, CFI = .976, RMSEA = .038 90% I.C. [.030, .045]). Además, se obtuvieron índices de fiabilidad apropiados para todos los factores (ω = .79 - .94). El DVQ – R es un instrumento válido y fiable para la medición de la victimización en mujeres jóvenes en el contexto ecuatoriano.
