Abstract

The following paper intends to compare The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test 1968 by Tom Wolfe and On the road 1957 by Jack Kerouac as two novels that portray a visit to Mexico that does not fulfill the characters’ expectations by any means since the characters of the works under study engage their perception in stereotypical thinking. The trip to Mexico is approached as an escape and ends up in a complete disenchantment.
