The Journal of Artistic Creation and Literary Research (JACLR) is a peer-reviewed, open-access, biannual publication that provides unrestricted access to its full content. It is an initiative of the SIIM research group at the Complutense University of Madrid, supported by the Vice-Rectorate for Quality of the same institution.

JACLR publishes high-quality interdisciplinary research in the areas of comparative literary studies, critical theory, applied linguistics, and semiotics, as well as contributions addressing related pedagogical and educational concerns. In addition to scholarly articles, the journal is committed to promoting artistic practice by featuring original works of literary and artistic creation. JACLR also includes selected contributions from the Literary Creation Award, along with book and film reviews, interviews, and conference proceedings.

The journal maintains a clearly interdisciplinary and international orientation, welcoming contributions from scholars and creators worldwide. It embraces the diversity of cultural, theoretical, and methodological approaches that define the contemporary field of English Studies, while upholding the highest standards of academic rigor and originality.

All submissions are processed through the journal’s editorial platform and undergo an initial evaluation by the Editorial Team to assess their relevance to the journal’s scope and quality criteria. Manuscripts that meet these standards are subjected to a strict double-blind peer review process conducted by experts in the corresponding fields.

JACLR is published biannually, in June and December, and each issue features a combination of scholarly articles, creative works, reviews, and interviews. As of issue 12.2 (December 2024), all content is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. The journal is indexed in EBSCO, hosted by REUNIDO, the University of Oviedo academic journal platform, and disseminated through various international academic platforms, ensuring broad visibility and impact for its contributors.
