Resumen

El carcinoma de células renales de células claras (CCRCC) representa la neoplasia maligna epitelial renal más común y representa entre el 65 y el 70 % de todos los carcinomas renales. Las metástasis son más frecuentemente hematógenas, al pulmón, hueso, hígado, sistema nervioso central (SNC), etc. La vía linfática a los ganglios linfáticos hiliares, aórticos y caviles es menos común. Las metástasis en cabeza y cuello representan el 8-15% mientras que la afectación de las glándulas salivales es rara, representando el 3-5% de los casos, siendo la glándula submaxilar afectada en el 1%.
