Author Guidelines
1.- As a general rule, articles should not exceed 25 pages (including tables and illustrations).
2.- Asturian is the main language, but papers are also accepted in other languages.
3.- Before publication, the Editorial Board will send, anonymously, proposed articles to two external reviewers who will report to Lletres Asturianes on the scientific quality of the papers. This «double blind» review process is a necessary condition for the final acceptance of papers.
4.- Lletres Asturianes is responsible for any corrections of spelling, punctuation and style in manuscripts to be published. Authors must agree to correct a text proof.
5.- Each article should include, necessarily, the title and the author’s name. For this purpose, a card should be attached to the article with the author’s address, telephone number and/or email. It should also include an Abstract of about 300 words which broadly reflects the content of the article and a list of keywords with a maximum of five words. In the final draft, the abstract and the keywords will appear in all cases in Asturian and English. The title will also appear in English.
6.- The presentation of the paper should follow the general rules of style listed below:
- The title should be presented in bold, in font size 14, with a capital letter only at the beginning of a sentence.
- The main body of the text should be in a normal font size 12, with single spacing.
- Captions or headings can be presented in bold, bold italic, white italic, etc. as appropriate, and should be capitalized only at the beginning.
- Within the text, the words you want to highlight should be presented in italics, never in capital letters. Quotations should be written «in quotes»; if the quotation is short, it may be included within the paragraph; if so, it should be presented in a separate indented paragraph in font size 11.
- Etymons should be presented in small caps. Phonological and phonetic transcriptions should usually follow the IPA system.
- Maps, diagrams and charts, should be presented in editable format or with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi and, if they are in image format, they should follow the general style recommended for the main text. These have be inserted in their proper place within the text or else be accompanied by an indication of where they should be properly placed.
- Footnotes should be prepared according to these same indications.
- In-text references to author(s) and the list of references should follow the standards stablished by the APA (7th edition).
- The list of references included at the end of the article should be presented in font size 9, 0.6 cm French indentation.
7.- The paper should be delivered in electronic format in a file compatible with most common word processors for PCs. Papers should be sent to:
