About the Journal

Focus and Scope

Liño was founded in 1980, published by the University of Oviedo Publications Service, aimed at specialists, researchers and professionals in the field of art and architecture history.

The journal exclusively accepts unpublished and original research works that have not been published or submitted for this purpose in any other medium, regardless of the language in which they are published.

In each issue, Liño compiles research articles that deal with topics related to any field in art history, any period or manifestation. It also accommodates architectural projects and interventions, as well as bibliographic reviews.

Liño ensures free access to research results with maximum visibility for published work. It provides unrestricted access to all content from the moment it is published in electronic edition and at no cost to the author.

Peer Review Process

All papers are submitted to peer review (“double blind” system).

The arbitration system uses external evaluators from the journal's publishing institution.

In order to guarantee anonymity in the evaluation and acceptance process, the submitted work may not include any mention to the author that would reveal his or her identity.

Frequency

Liño is published annually

The deadline for submission of original copy is 15 December of each year.

Acceptance of the submitted works is communicated before 1 April.

Journal History

The Art History journal Liño  was first published in 1980, under the direction of Professor Carlos Cid Priego, initially promoted and financed by the professors attached to the Department of Art History of the University of Oviedo, with the aim of channelling the research carried out within it. In its first publishing phase, it had financial support from the Official College of Quantity Surveyors and Technical Architects of Asturias, which took over three monographic issues dedicated to the Inventory of Historical and Monumental Interest in Asturias. The fact that the journal was published by the University of Oviedo Publications Service from issue 7 made its continuity and annual frequency possible until 1991.

In 2005, its second editorial phase began, with the aim of promoting the disseminating the results of the scientific achievements in the field of Art History, with the support of the Asturias Official College of Architects and the University of Oviedo Publications Service.
