Abstract
The intervention at Cartonajes VIR aims to modernise the office and changing room building within an active industrial complex, combining improvements to functionality, energy efficiency and comfort in the workspace with the reinforcement of the corporate identity. The project proceeds with restraint and precision to restore formal unity to a complex built up over the years in a fragmented manner without clear guidelines. The interior layout and circulation routes are reorganised, the building envelope is improved and the finishes are enhanced, always with a restrained approach, avoiding unnecessary gestures and opting for durable materials to achieve a timeless image. Minor exterior interventions, such as the linear beech garden, the staff entrance canopy and the inclusion of the logo on the fire wall, help to reinforce the company’s visual identity without altering its scale or architectural language.
