RESUMEN

El Pasillo Verde Ferroviario es una operación de transformación urbana sobre 163 Has., que está teniendo lugar en el sur del Área Central madrileña. En esta zona de Ensanche se llevaban a cabo funciones subsidiarias, especialmente grandes industrias y servicios urbanos. La transformación de este ámbito consiste en enterrar las vías férreas, reorganizar las estaciones, desmantelar las instalaciones industriales y, en su lugar, diseñar un paseo a lo largo del antiguo trazado del ferrocarril y ocupar el suelo liberado con viviendas, equipamientos y oficinas

Les grandes opérations de transformation urbaine. Le cas du «Pasillo Verde Ferroviario» de Madrid.- Le «Pasillo Verde Ferroviario» est une opération de transformation urbaine qui se développe actuellement sur 163 Has. dans le sud de la zone centrale de Madrid. Cene zone du «Ensanche» supportait jusqu'â présent des fonctions subsidiaires, en spécial des grandes manufactures et services urbains. La transformation de cet endroit consiste â enfouir les voies ferrées, réorganiser les gares, démanteler les installations industrielles, dessinant à sa place un boulevard le long du tracé de l'ancien chemin de fer, et occupant le sol liberé avec logements, équipements urbains et bureaux.

ABSTRACT

The great operations of urban transformation. The "Pasillo Verde  Ferroviario» of  Madrid.- The «Pasillo Verde Ferroviario» (Green Railway Corridor) is an urban renewal public operation which is now  being developped in the southern central area of Madrid over 163 Has. This part of the «Ensanche» was ocuppied by subsidiary functions, such as great industries and urban services. The operation consists in the interment of railways, the reorganization of stations, the dismantling of industrial factories, designing in its place a boulevard along the old railway trace, and occuping new land with dwellings, equipements and offices.
